World Book Day 2023

Giglets

Just a little reminder about Giglets. Before October half term the children were given their passwords to take home to access a site called Giglets. On this site will be an array of books for you to read to your child and/or for them to read themselves. The school have purchased this and is free for you to use. If you have lost or are having any difficulties using the site please contact your child's teacher.

Our trip to The Rock - A wonderful day and evening was spent with the year 6 enjoying rock climbing, caving and crate stacking. The children thoroughly enjoyed the team work element of the activities and were a credit to our school. The evening was spent enjoying time around the camp fire, singing and eating s’mores, before all retiring to their rooms for a midnight feast.

We discussed lots of aspects of cyber bullying and how to stay safe online.

HAPPY EASTER!

We have worked hard this term so have a well earned rest and make some amazing memories. We all hope the weather will be kind to us and we can get out and enjoy the sunshine.

Take care!

World Book Day.

We had a really fun day being book detectives and finding famous authors, we then had to interview the authors and write a newspaper article using the evidence we had found.

It was a shock to find out the culprit was the interviewer in disguise. cool

Electricity Year 5/6 really enjoyed connecting the circuits to make the bulbs light, the propeller spin and the buzzer give us all a headache. I think the smiles say it all!

Just a few of our home tasks, well done to all who took part!

Isabella and Oliver have written about what they have enjoyed working on in the first part of 2022.
